The family of Rodney j Brimmer, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders presence as they show their final respects and lay their loved one to rest. Rodney faithfully served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps achieving the rank of E-4 Corporal while performing duties as a Combat Engineer and Demolition Specialist. Rodney served with the 3rd Squad, 1st Platoon, Bravo Company, 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division. Rodney also served with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary while onboard ship, deployed to the Mediterranean from October 1992 to April 1993. Rodney was a part of Operation Provide Promise which provided support during the civil conflict in Bosnia.
Upon completion of his service he received an Honorable Discharge and during his time in service was awarded the Rifle Marksmanship Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon w/ 1 star, Good Conduct Medal, Letter of Appreciation, and the Joint Meritorious Unit Commendation.
Please bring your 3×5 American Flags and stand in silent respect for our Hero and his family.
Rodney was also a Florida Patriot Guard Riders member and also a charter member of American Legion Post 101. We will be giving Rodney his final ride and his spouse Tina will be riding in the escort.
