The Patriot Guard Riders participate in two broad categories of mission types - Honor Missions and HOTH Missions.

Honor Missions are typically funeral requests, or a memorial service for a Hero or Heroes that have passed.

HOTH (Help on the Homefront) Missions include those that are meant to honor a group or a living individual; such as dedications, a parade on Veterans Day, a send off for a military unit, and escorts to veteran's event. Basically any military or first responder related event that is not a funeral or memorial service.

Event Invitation Information

The Patriot Guard Riders does participate in non-funeral events; but it is with the understanding that our primary focus is on attending funerals, or other memorials, honoring our fallen Heroes. Our participation in other events is based on resource availability, and is at the discretion of the respective State Captain.

The Patriot Guard Riders will sometimes accept invitations from other organizations and pass that information on to our members through our mail list. Such invitations might include Patriotic parades or veteran or first responder events. We do not typically accept invitations to fundraising or non-veteran non-first responder events.

Please note - because we don't want to abuse our member mail list subscriptions, such invitations are accepted on a very selective basis, and are fully at the discretion of the respective state captain.
