SGT Ramon Aurelio Hernandez, 32, of Alma passed away Monday, March 11, 2024. He served in the US Army for 7 years and 7 months as an Infantryman fighting the Global War on Terrorism, including two tours in Afghanistan and one in Kuwait. He was Honorably Discharged on Mar 9, 2019.
Numerous awards include Army Commendation Medal (2), Army Achievement Medal (3), AAM with C Device, NDSM, GWoT Expeditionary Medal, GWoT Service Medal, Afghanistan Medal, Campaign Medal with 2 stars, NATO Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (3), Combat Ribbon, and many others. After the Army he was a delivery driver for Hiland Dairy in Fort Smith. He enjoyed going to Dave & Busters in Fayetteville, the Marvel Super Heroes and physical fitness. He attended Eastside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, two very young daughters; two sons, one sister, three brothers, his mother and father, and a host of family and friends.
