Tribute Donations

Our mission is done out of honor and respect, and there is never a charge or an expectation of payment. However, many have asked to donate to the PGR in memory of the heroes we have stood for, or to honor those still with us. This is a record of those donors and their honorees.

Tribute donations may be made from our Donate to the PGR page.

Donation by Turnpike Ramblers and Janey George
This donation is being made in honor of Steve George. Steve was a great husband, father, brother, friend and helped anyone any everyone out. It didn’t matter if you were a stranger or not if you needed help and if he saw you struggling he would jump right in and help you out. We lived off 233 in Newville near the crossroad of 233 and 944 where a lot of riders would go past to Colonel Denning State Park. On rainy days Steve would set up a table and his coffee maker and pull bikers in during the rain to give them cover, coffee and good conversation. Steve was a Marine veteran that loved his country and loved to talk to other veterans and active duty members. When my dad passed away, a Korean war veteran, Steve rode motorcycle with the pastor to Indiantown Gap for my dads burial. He was so proud and honored to ride behind my dad all the way to the cemetery. A few years ago Steve wanted to join a motorcycle club when he saw all these big rides of motorcycles his face would light up. One day by chance we were on 944 in Carlisle when we came across the Turnpike Ramblers Motorcycle Club having a Ride for the Red event. We rode up to the club and we were welcomed with open arms from the club President Craig Kissinger that day. Steve and Craig hit it off very well and became great friends. In 2017 we took a cross country motorcycle trip with Craig and his wife to California and back in 21 days 8.269 miles. This donation is being made in honor of Steve, his love for his brothers and sisters in the military and his love of riding. I know Steve would love this donation being made and hope it helps others in being able to honor a military member being escorted to their place of rest.
