Honor Mission

Robert F. Burlingham, Veteran

USN – Korea

Schuylerville, New York – 06-12-18

ABOUT THE MISSION:
We have been requested by the brother of Robert F. Burlingham to attend his military honors funeral. Bob served during the Korean era aboard the USS Intrepid achieving the rank of AB3 Aviation Boatswain 3rd class. Bob was a member of the American Legion Old Saratoga Post 278 and a member of the Saratoga National Cemetery Honor Guard.
Bob retired from Con Edison in Yonkers after 30 years of service and enjoyed fishing and hunting. I met Bob about 10 years ago when I put together a bus trip to New York City to visit the USS Intrepid. He was absolutely thrilled to go visit the ship that he served on.
