About the Mission:

The Patriot Guard Riders will stand a silent flag-line, in honor of Joe Samuel Hayes, United States Army veteran, during his visitation at Grace Apostolic Church. Corporal Joe Hayes served as a Technician Fifth Grade (T/5) in the Army, during World War II. Throughout his faithful service from 1944-1946, Joe traveled to Guam, Saipan, Leyte, Manila, and Okinawa. Joe earned the following awards for his service: Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal; Good Conduct Medal; World War 2 Victory Medal and Occupation Ribbon (Japan).
The Patriot Guard Riders in North Carolina had the honor of helping Joe celebrate his 100th birthday, at his home in Wilmington, NC in June of 2023.

This will be a flag line mission only, during the visitation prior to the church service. There will be a separate flag-line mission at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery on March 12, 2024, the day of his interment.

Water will not be provided, please bring your own.
