Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team Escort

    MULTI-CITY, New York - 20 May 2018

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to escort the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST) to their game against the Long Island All Stars on Sunday, May 20, 2018.

The WWAST is comprised of competitive, athletic veterans who have lost limbs while serving their country in the military. The team includes individuals with a variety of amputations. Some are still in the service; others are attending college thanks to the Post-9/11 GI Bill while others have moved on to new careers. They travel the country playing able-bodied teams in competitive and exhibition softball games, bringing their special brand of softball, courage and inspiration.

Games and events are free of charge. Bring the family for a day of fun and a chance to see our nation's heroes in action. You can learn more about the WWAST by visiting their website at:

Unfortunately, I cannot be with you for this mission, but I will be with you in spirit. I thank you for giving your time to make this mission a success. I pray that you have a safe ride.
