    ABOUT THE MISSION:
    The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the U.S. Marine Corps service of Wayne O. Atwell, who passed away on May 13, 2018.

    Mr. Atwell completed ROTC training at Brockport University, then served 2 years active duty, followed by 12 years of Marine Reserve duty. Mr. Atwell was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Reserves on 28 May 1970 with the rank of Captain.

    Mr. Atwell was a former NYS Trooper, was a 64-year member and past Commander of the Daniel Goho American Legion Post #87 in Dansville, and was a member of the Jackson Hose Fire Company in Dansville.

    Flag line for arrival of family and friends.
    Calling Hours at the funeral home from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Funeral Service at the funeral home at 1:00 PM, followed by dignified transfer and escort to Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville for interment with military honors.

    Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American flag or USMC flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are properly placed and securely attached.

    Please consider helping to honor Mr. Atwell's military, law enforcement and fire service, and to support his loving family.

    Flags & Water:
    Flags Will NOT Be Provided, Please Bring Your Own.
    If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
    Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.

    My sincere condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero, a grateful nation mourns your loss. Find peace, strength and comfort in the knowledge that your fallen hero gave unselfishly of themselves in order to keep us all free and safe. Your brave warrior will never be forgotten.
