ABOUT THE MISSION:Ladies and gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders, we have been requested to participate in the Celebration of Life Ceremony for Private Leon Jay Ball. Ball entered the USA in 1968 and was a light weapons infantryman and radio operator in Vietnam. After his two years of service, he transferred to the US Army Reserve with a terminal date in 1972. Ball was awarded the Sharpshooter, Combat Infantryman Badge and 2d Class Gunner awards. For his service he was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal w/1 Bronze Service Star. After his service he became a meter reader and a lineman for PGE and later for UEC. He loved hunting, four-wheeling and riding his horse. Please join us as we pay our respects and honor this war hero and veteran and his commitment to serve our great nation.
