HOTH Mission
Stars and Stripes Honor Flight
Milwaukee, Wisconsin - 14 Apr 2018
ABOUT THE MISSION:We have been invited to attend the Stars and Stripes Honor Flights again this year. Our next flight is scheduled for Saturday, April 14, 2018. I don’t have the numbers on the heroes going on this trip but the schedule is the same as most flights in the past.
Remember, this is our opportunity to say thank you to these men and women while they are still with us. So far 3329 of our WW II veterans have made the trip as well as 1937 of our heroes from the Korean Conflict and 256 Vietnam Veterans. As usual, World War II and Korea veterans and their guardians and medical staff will start arriving at Mitchell Airport at 5:00 a.m. on April 14 and return home at 8:30 p.m.
The public is not invited to attend the departure but the PGR are invited to stand a flag line to welcome the veterans and their escorts and assist with getting them and their personal effects from curb to check-in and assisting when they return.
