ABOUT THE MISSION:Mark A. Williams, age 47 of Sheboygan, passed away suddenly, Sunday, April 1, 2018 in Sheboygan. Mark was born December 7, 1970 in Sheboygan to Lyle and Wanda Williams. Mark graduated from Sheboygan North High and earned an Associate's Degree in Applied Science.
He retired as a First Sergeant from the United States Army in 2010 after 21 years of honorable service where he received the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Purple Heart, Army Achievement Medal, Valorous Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait), US Army Recruiter Badge with Three Sapphire Achievement Stars, Combat Action Badge and Driver and Mechanic Badge with Driver Wheeled Vehicle Clasp. He later worked for the Department of Defense as a Civil Service employee until relocating to Sheboygan in December.
Mark dedicated nearly half his life to keeping us free and safe; let us join his family so his service can be properly recognized. If you are unable to attend, please express your condolences on the mission forum.
A very important memorial fund has been established in Mark's name.
