    We are sad to report the death of U.S. Navy WWII & Korean Conflict veteran, Lawrence Taylor, Sr. His family has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his services and it will be our honor to do so.

    Mr. Taylor honorably and proudly served three years in the Pacific Theater on an aircraft carrier during WWII and also served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of VFW Post #5048 in Florence MS.

    After being discharged from the Navy Mr. Taylor worked for Gulf Chemical Company in Vicksburg and Gulf Oil Company in Jackson until his retirement.

    Please join us as we stand for one who stood for us.

    The PGR will stand a silent U.S. flag Line from 12:00 pm until the beginning of service at 2:00 pm. Following the service, the PGR will escort Sailor Taylor to his final duty station at Parkway Memorial Cemetery, 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS. The PGR will stand a silent U.S. flag line for graveside service

    It is with great sadness that I learned of the loss of this hero. We mourn
    with their family and friends. Though we mourn, we stand tall to honor them.

    My sincere condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero, a grateful nation mourns your loss. Find peace, strength and comfort in the knowledge that your fallen hero gave unselfishly of themselves in order to keep us all free and safe. Your brave warrior will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your loved one with all of us, their sense of duty and honor will live on for generations to come. God Bless you our Hero for a job well done.Stand down and rest in peace.
