    Cryptologic Technician Third Class (CT3) Eugene M. Baseggio, 70, honorably and proudly served our country stateside at The Naval Communications Center in Washington, DC during the Vietnam Conflict. He continued on in the Navy Reserve.

    After his Naval service, Eugene worked as a deputy sheriff at the McHenry County Sheriff's Department.

    Gene's family has asked the presence of the Patriot Guard along with the US Navy to honor him during his funeral and burial.

    My sincere condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero, a grateful nation mourns your loss. Find peace, strength and comfort in the knowledge that your fallen hero gave unselfishly of themselves in order to keep us all free and safe. Your brave warrior will never be forgotten.
