This truly is a difficult time, and my sympathy is with you. As the happy memories of your loved one comfort you, may these words help you to endure. “God is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. And He will wipe out every tear.” (Psalms 34:18; Revelation 21:4) Peace be with you.

Find peace, strength and comfort in the knowledge that your fallen hero gave unselfishly of themselves in order to keep us all free and safe. Your brave warrior will never be forgotten. As I sit in Heaven, and watch you every day,
I try to let you know with signs, I never went away.
I hear you when you're laughing, and watch you while you sleep,
I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home,
So I try to send you signs, so you know you are not alone.
Don't feel guilty that you have life, that was denied to me,
Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see.
So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free,
Then I know with every breath you take, you'll be taking one for me.
