    ~~~ Mission Complete - Erhard Ulrich ~~~
    Nine Patriot Guard Riders came to stand on this beautiful sunny day for 101 year old Erhard Ulrich. Erhard served in the Army during WWII and was stationed on the West Coast and the Aleutian Islands. He lived a full life, from summitting Mt Hood in the 1940s to zip-lining on his 99th birthday, riding in a hot air balloon for his 100th, and horseback riding with family for his 101st. He is survived by his daughter, two brothers, one sister, and numerous extended family. He was fortunate to be able to share his Honor Flight experience with his daughter.
    We were honored to stand for Mr. Ulrich today, pay our respects, and show our appreciation for his service to our nation so many years ago. Rest in peace Sir. Thanks you for allowing us this honor. Thank you to the PGR who stood the flagline today, and to all those who stand whenever we are called.
    Respectfully submitted -
    My sincere condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero, a grateful nation mourns your loss. Find peace, strength and comfort in the knowledge that your fallen hero gave unselfishly of themselves in order to keep us all free and safe. Your brave warrior will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your loved one with all of us, their sense of duty and honor will live on for generations to come. God Bless you our Hero for a job well done.Stand down and rest in peace.
    As I sit in Heaven, and watch you every day,
    I try to let you know with signs, I never went away.
    I hear you when you're laughing, and watch you while you sleep,
    I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep.
    I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home,
    So I try to send you signs, so you know you are not alone.
    Don't feel guilty that you have life, that was denied to me,
    Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see.
    So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free,
    Then I know with every breath you take, you'll be taking one for me.
