    ABOUT THE MISSION:

    Mr. Cecil Aubrey Brooks, age 90 of Quitman, passed from this life November 11, 2017 after a long and meaningful life.

    Mr. Brooks was a construction electrician by trade and faithfully served his country as a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II serving in the South Pacific.

    In his later years he loved to paint and grow his blueberries.

    He enjoyed spending time with friends and loved being surrounded by his family.

    Friends may visit with the family 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 14 at Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

    Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM in the Edmonds Chapel.

    Interment will follow at the Mt Olive East Cemetery, near Quitman, under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

    Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife of 41 years, Murline Womack Brooks, two daughters, a son, his sister, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
