Life does not stand still for families and local communities when our brave men and women are deployed, but we can make their time apart more bearable by recognizing their sacrifice and fulfilling our commitments to them. You can kiss your family good-bye and put miles between you, but at the same time you carry them with you in your heart and in your mind because you do not only live in this world, but a world lives inside you. My wife and I offer our prayers for your safety while you are gone and for a safe return to your family.
We fought a revolution. We won the revolution. We wrote the Constitution.
The constitution doesn’t grant power, it keeps the government off our backs.
