    ABOUT THE MISSION:
    William L. “Bill” Smith, Jr., 84 was born October 12, 1932, in Lake Arthur, NM Bill graduated from Portales High School in 1950. One year later he joined the US Navy and served in the Pacific during the Korean War. While in the service, his ship and all its crew made an appearance in the movie "The Caine Mutiny."

    My wife and I offer our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of our departed Hero. We are grateful to this Veteran and this family, for all of the sacrifices that were made to protect us, and preserve our freedoms. May your faith and your fond memories be your guiding light in this time of sorrow.
