As I sit in Heaven, and watch you every day,
I try to let you know with signs, I never went away.
I hear you when you're laughing, and watch you while you sleep,
I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home,
So I try to send you signs, so you know you are not alone.
Don't feel guilty that you have life, that was denied to me,
Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see.
So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free,
Then I know with every breath you take, you'll be taking one for me.

Mission complete, 12 Oct.2017-SSgt. Earl Carr, USMC, Vietnam Veteran.

On Thursday , Oct. 12, 2017 there were 17 riders on 16 bikes/trikes who attended the mission to Honor the Military Service of USMC. SSGT. Earl Carr at Union Hill Baptist Church, Purcell Oklahoma, where we had flags flying proudly as the family and friends arrived.

The briefing was held, followed by a moment of silence for the Blue, Silver & Gold Star families, POWs and MIAs. A prayer asking comfort for the grieving family, a safe mission and protection for our military personnel engaged in the Global War on Terror was also said.

The riders stood a Flag Line as the family and friends arrived. The service began with the USMC. Honor Guard doing Military Honors at the church. At the conclusion of the church service, the riders stood a Respect Line as the SSgt. Carr was transferred to the coach.

Riders mounted bikes for the short ride to Purcell Cemetery with big flag bikes leading the escort. The pastor did a short prayer and gave honor to the PGR for doing this mission. With the help of other riders reading the plaques and invocation, the RC presented the family with the condolences and thanked the family for allowing us to honor this veteran.

Thank you to all of my fellow Patriot Guard Riders for attending this mission, where we were made to feel like we were part of this Veteran’s family. Your presence made a difference to this family, and the family was very honored to have us there. The honor was ours.

Most of all, thank you SSgt. Earl Carr for your service to this great nation. Rest in Peace Sir, your mission is complete, and you will not be forgotten.

    Respectfully,
    RCIC Dennis Denson
    GOD BLESS RIDE SAFE
