    POW/MIA Watchfire Ceremony - St. Charles, Missouri - 15 Sep 2017

    POW/MIA Watchfire Ceremony

    St. Charles, Missouri - 15 Sep 2017

The Saint Charles Veterans Commission has requested the Patriot Guard Riders stand a flag line during the ceremony at the Veterans Memorial to commemorate all active military, veterans, and all POW/MIA on Friday night, September 15, 2017. The event is known as a "Watch Fire," a long standing tradition to build large fires to guide returning soldiers and militia back to their camp or village. The modern day Watch Fire is a symbolic event: a fire lit in hopes that all of America's soldiers held as prisoners of war and those missing in action will find their way home. These symbolic fires are lit to provide hope to family members that the missing may yet be found and brought home. Everyone is invited to attend.

A Grateful Nation Thanks You for your service and sacrifices you have made to preserve our Country's Freedom.

The long nights, lonely days, times of fear, often going unnoticed by those who enjoy the freedom given to us by those who serve.

I stand in spirit with my fellow Patriot Guard Riders as they Honor these Warriors.
