It was following completion of this training where Ben finally received his, “Wings of Gold,” and the title of Marine Aviator. He then reported to Marine Corps Air Station New River where he learned to fly the MV-22 Osprey.

Ben reported to VMM-265 (REIN) “Dragons” located at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan in October of 2016.. In May of 2017 Ben left Okinawa aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard to take part in bilateral training exercises in Australia.

A “Celebration of Life” memorial will be held at the Telstar Regional High School auditorium on Saturday September 16th, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with an opportunity for friends to pay their respects immediately afterwards. As I sit in Heaven, and watch you every day,
I try to let you know with signs, I never went away.
I hear you when you're laughing, and watch you while you sleep,
I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home,
So I try to send you signs, so you know you are not alone.
Don't feel guilty that you have life, that was denied to me,
Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see.
So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free,
Then I know with every breath you take, you'll be taking one for me.
