    Norman C. Fernandez, Active Duty, USA - WoT, MULTI-CITY, California - 18 Jul 2017

SFC Norman C. Fernandez, Active Duty

    USA - WoT

    MULTI-CITY, California - 18 Jul 2017

    ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of SFC Norman C. Fernandez, 49, and the US Army have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the funeral service and Military Honors for their Hero. We would be honored to do so.

SFC Norman Fernandez was currently serving in the US Army when he sadly passed away. He served over 16 years in the Army and felt privileged to serve his country. He served in many locations throughout the world including deployments to the Middle East in the Global War on Terror.

Wherever he served he always looked forward to returning home to his family, the most important thing in his life. He loved spending time with them barbecuing on the patio and sitting with his loving wife. He loved watching sports, his favorite teams were the Chargers and the Lakers. He was a great listener who would give great advice to many, always kind and loving and patient with all those who knew him. The kind of guy who would give the shirt off his back to help others.

Norman will be sorely missed by all who knew him, his family, friends and those he served with.

Norman is survived by his loving wife, one daughter, two sons and their spouses, three brothers, one sister, and many nieces and nephews.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero, a grateful nation mourns your loss. Find peace, strength and comfort in the knowledge that your fallen hero gave unselfishly of themselves in order to keep us all free and safe. Your brave warrior will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your loved one with all of us, their sense of duty and honor will live on for generations to come. God Bless you our Hero for a job well done.Stand down and rest in peace.

As I sit in Heaven, and watch you every day,
I try to let you know with signs, I never went away.
I hear you when you're laughing, and watch you while you sleep,
I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home,
So I try to send you signs, so you know you are not alone.
Don't feel guilty that you have life, that was denied to me,
Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see.
So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free,
Then I know with every breath you take, you'll be taking one for me.

Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade because a loved one’s gone.
Those we love can never be more than a thought apart,
for as long as there is memory, they’ll live on in the heart.
