    ABOUT THE MISSION:

    The family of Michael “Mickey” Russell has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at Military Honors at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 9:30 AM. It will be an honor to be there.

    Michael Russell was born on March 13, 1988 in New Haven, Connecticut and moved to Arizona in August, 1996. He was passionate about serving our country. He spent several months getting into shape in order to make his dream come true and in September, 2007 enlisted in the United States Army. Mickey served overseas in Iraq, from December 2009 to December 2010, as a M1A1 Armor Crewman, Driver and received an Honorable Discharge from the Army in November 2011.

    He received the following medals, badges, and ribbons: Army Good Conduct Medal, USAF Good Conduct Medal,
    National Defense Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star,
    Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Driver and Mechanic Badge with Driver Wheeled Vehicles.

    Michael Russell unexpectedly passed away on July 4, 2017, our country’s birthday.
