My wife and I wish to extend our condolences on your loss.

We stand with feet planted firmly on rich soil knowing what freedom is. Because of the veterans, I am free to honor God and country without persecution. Where there is injustice, I am free to fight. Where there is silence, I am free to speak. Where there is hate, I am free to love.

Your love one’s watch is over, may they rest in the arms of God.

I hear you when you're laughing, and watch you while you sleep,
I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home,
So I try to send you signs, so you know you are not alone.

    A humble Thank You

I just wanted to take a moment to offer a heartfelt Thank You on behalf of the family and friends of William C. Dolejsi. It was truly touching to see the members of the Patriot Guard at the funeral service, standing steadfast with quiet dignity and respect, a symbol of resolute faith, honor, and loyalty. It was an impressive sight, and all present were extremely polite and respectful. The line of riders standing with their flags at the grave site was equally inspiring. Bill would have been truly humbled by it all. It made us all very proud to be a part of.

Bill was my uncle and namesake, a man who laughed loudly and wore an infectious smile. Following his service in the Navy, he became a St. Louis city fireman - a job which he made into a career until his retirement. He is survived by his wife of over 70 years, his daughter, his grandchildren, and his brother, along with many other relatives and friends.

I wish I would have been able to thank you all in person, not just for the respect you showed my uncle and our family, but for your service past and present, and your continued watch over so many other fallen heroes and their families. God Bless You All.

    Sincerely,
    William C. Dolejsi
