There are many people we meet in life some do great deeds; but of all that can proudly be called a hero, there is none greater than the man or woman who serves their country. Miz Alice and I have the deepest sympathy for your loss, and gratitude for his/her service to our country.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero, a grateful nation mourns your loss. Find peace, strength and comfort in the knowledge that your fallen hero gave unselfishly of themselves in order to keep us all free and safe. Your brave warrior will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your loved one with all of us, their sense of duty and honor will live on for generations to come. God Bless you our Hero for a job well done.Stand down and rest in peace.

As I sit in Heaven, and watch you every day,
I try to let you know with signs, I never went away.
I hear you when you're laughing, and watch you while you sleep,
I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home,
So I try to send you signs, so you know you are not alone.
Don't feel guilty that you have life, that was denied to me,
Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see.
So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free,
Then I know with every breath you take, you'll be taking one for me.

USMC (Ret) SgtMaj Shelby Risner Ride report: On an early morning hour (7:15 AM) threatening rain, eleven bikes and trikes, a jeep and a car, with 13 PGR assembled at the Marathon station at I-75 exit 293 in Cartersville. I conducted the briefing. We said the Pledge and Dennis lead us in prayer.
At 7:30 AM the family of SgtMaj Risner in two vehicles arrived. We conducted a dignified transfer to my bike and lined up for the trip to Tennga. Knobby lead out with his jeep and the bikes and trikes followed with me in the back with 4 flag bikes at the corners. The family followed with Reuben acting as tailgunner. We went up highway 411 to Tennga. Chatsworth police blocked the intersections through town for us and we arrived at 411 Café in Tennga on time.
Medic (Phillip Worley) as RCIC for Tennessee conducted a briefing and we conducted a dignified transfer from my bike to Scott Hall’s bike. After visiting a little, the TN part of the escort continued the ride. Those of us staying behind presented honors as the procession left.
The weather cooperated. The ride went well. The family seemed pleased. Thank you to Knobby, Reuben and all the riders who came out to honor this veteran. I believe we did well today.
