Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, Milwaukee, Wisconsin - 21 May 2017

    Stars and Stripes Honor Flight

    Milwaukee, Wisconsin - 21 May 2017

    ABOUT THE MISSION:

We have been invited to attend the second Stars and Stripes Honor Flight for the year. The flight is scheduled for Sunday, May 21, 2017. I was looking at the Stars and Stripes web site and see we have been there to send off and welcome home nearly 5,000 veterans.

Remember, this is our opportunity to say thank you to these men and women while they are still with us. As usual, World War II and Korea veterans and their guardians and medical staff will start arriving at Mitchell Airport at 5:00 a.m. and return home at 8:30 pm.

The public is not invited to attend the departure but the PGR are invited to stand a flag line to welcome the veterans and their escorts and assist with getting them and their personal effects from curb to check-in and assisting when they return.

Please do not bring young children to the event as it makes it hard to make sure they are safe while we attend to our heroes.

You'll have to pay for your own parking unless you're on 2 wheels. The motorcycle free parking lot is available to us. It's on the left side as you come past baggage/passenger pick-up.
