    ABOUT THE MISSION:

    Lance Corporal Sean P. Maher was just 19 years old when he gave his life in service to our nation and freedom worldwide in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

    Sean was with the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment. With just two days until the end of his deployment, Sean was killed in action on February 2, 2005, in Al Anbar province, Iraq, when his unit came under hostile fire near Fallujah.

    A flagpole will be dedicated in Sean's Honor and, since he fell before The Patriot Guard began, PGR Honors will be rendered at this time.

    We will stage at Kelley and Spaulding Funeral Home, next door, and ride into the ceremony following the Church Service, where his family will be in attendance, We will stand a flagline during the dedication after which Honors will be rendered.

    My sincere condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero, a grateful nation mourns your loss. Find peace, strength and comfort in the knowledge that your fallen hero gave unselfishly of themselves in order to keep us all free and safe. Your brave warrior will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your loved one with all of us, their sense of duty and honor will live on for generations to come. God Bless you our Hero for a job well done.Stand down and rest in peace.
