Mission Complete: 21 March, 2017 – A2C Jimmie Wayne Sills, USAF Veteran, Guthrie, OK.

On Tuesday, March 21, 2017 there were 5 dedicated Riders on 4 bikes and 1 cage who attended the mission to Honor the Military Service of USAF Veteran A2C Jimmie Wayne Sills at the Lakeview Baptist Church in Guthrie.
The area surrounding the church was staked, and the American Flag flew proudly in the light wind as family and friends arrived.

The briefing was held, followed by a moment of silence for the Blue, Silver & Gold Star families, POWs and MIAs. A prayer asking comfort for the grieving family, a safe mission and protection for our military personnel engaged in the Global War on Terror was also said.
Riders stood the flag line, standing on both sides of the entry door, and manned the doors as family and friends arrived for the service. When the service started, PGR members returned the flags to the flag vehicle.

At the conclusion of the service, Riders stood a Respect Line as the Hero was moved from the chapel to the coach. With the able assistance of the Guthrie Police Dept., the assembled Riders then escorted the Hero, family and friends to the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Guthrie (rather than the Tecumseh Cemetery, which had been indicated earlier), which had been staked and flagged prior to the arrival of the escort, and stood another Respect Line as the Hero was moved from the coach to the grave site by pall bearers consisting of family and friends of the Hero.
A short grave side service was conducted by the Minister, followed by the USAF MHG, who played Taps and folded and presented the flag to the Hero’s wife.
There were no presentations of the Plaque, Invocation, and condolences presented because of the extremely short notice of the mission. These will be personally delivered by the RCIC to Mrs. Sills at a later time. The RCIC did, however, step forward and thank the family for inviting us to attend this mission for their fallen, husband, father, and grandfather.
Thank you to each of my fellow Riders for attending this mission. This mission was greatly enhanced by the attendance of each of you, and your presence made a difference to this family. Most of all, thank you A2C Jimmie Wayne Sills, for your service to this great nation. Rest in Peace Sir, your mission is complete, and you will not be forgotten.

    Respectfully,
    RCIC Ray “rayneman” Gehrig

As I sit in Heaven, and watch you every day,
I try to let you know with signs, I never went away.
I hear you when you're laughing, and watch you while you sleep,
I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home,
So I try to send you signs, so you know you are not alone.
Don't feel guilty that you have life, that was denied to me,
Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see.
So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free,
Then I know with every breath you take, you'll be taking one for me.
