ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of U.S. Air Force, Vietnam Veteran, George Bryant Watts has asked the PGR to stand in honor of their fallen hero.
Lieutenant Colonel George Bryant Watts began his military career May 15, 1969 and retired May 31, 1989. He was a B-52 bomber pilot for 11 years and I'm told, he was the youngest B-52 pilot in Vietnam. He was a CMDR at the U.S. Air Force Academy for 3 years and a Space Ops. staff officer for 6 years. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross W/ 1 OLC, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal W/ 7 OLC, Air Force Commendation Medal, Distinguished Presidential Unit Citation, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Readiness Medal W/ 3 BSS's, Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon W/ 4 OLC, Small Arms Expert Marksmen Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross W/ Device and a Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
Service will be Friday, March 24, 2017 at 1300 hrs. at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Okla. Full military honors will be performed there.
