American Heroes, Dallas, Texas - 15 Mar 2017

    American Heroes, Veterans

    Dallas, Texas - 15 Mar 2017

    ABOUT THE MISSION:

There are many unaccompanied or buried without honors veterans that are interred at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery each month. We have only recently become aware of these inurnments or interments and have taken action to honor these Veterans.

The reasons these veterans did not receive honors during their burial vary widely but through a collaboration between Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery Staff and the Patriot Guard Riders a service has been created to honor these veterans on the third Wednesday of each month at 15:30.

Further details will be available at the mission briefing the day of the mission.

PRIMARY STAGING DETAILS: 15 Mar 2017

    Primary Staging Time: 1445 P.M.

Following the briefing, Riders will move to the appropriate shelter, pull into the shelter parking up on the far left side to allow passage of the cemetery representative's car on the right. They will then set the flags along the walkway leading up to the shelter and prepare to stand the flag line upon the arrival of the cemetery representative carrying the flag which will be used in the Service. After the Service, flags will be returned to the locker, furled and stowed. The riders will then be debriefed and dismissed.

NOTICE: PGR flag folders will be needed at every Third Wednesday Honor Roll Service.

My wife and I are wishing for peace, comfort and hope for these fallen heroes.
We fought a revolution. We won the revolution. We wrote the Constitution.

Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade because a loved one’s gone.
Those we love can never be more than a thought apart,
for as long as there is memory, they’ll live on in the heart.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of these American Heroes, a grateful nation mourns your loss. Find peace, strength and comfort in the knowledge that your fallen hero gave unselfishly of themselves in order to keep us all free and safe. Your brave warrior will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your loved one with all of us, their sense of duty and honor will live on for generations to come. God Bless you our Heroes for a job well done.Stand down and rest in peace.

As I sit in Heaven, and watch you every day,
I try to let you know with signs, I never went away.
I hear you when you're laughing, and watch you while you sleep,
I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home,
So I try to send you signs, so you know you are not alone.
Don't feel guilty that you have life, that was denied to me,
Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see.
So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free,
Then I know with every breath you take, you'll be taking one for me.
