DESCRIPTION:HOTH Mission\nMemorial Service Military War Dog IKE\n–\nSouth Lyon\, Michigan – 08-24-19\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nThe Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in Honor of Fallen Military War Dog / Specialized Search Dog IKE. IKE was born 22 Feb. 2007 and died 27 March 2019. He first entered service in the United States Army (Specialized Search Dog Program) then transferred in 2010 to Homeland Security with the TSA in Detroit and Metro Airport. His duties were to screen millions of pounds of cargo destined to be transported by aircraft all over the world to prevent the introduction of explosives on an aircraft. In addition to his primary responsibilities\, IKE also responded to multiple real world bomb threats throughout the Detroit Metro area.
