Mac McKinley served our country during World War II. In 1942\, he enlisted in the Army and trained as an X-Ray Tech. Later he was stationed at Plymouth\, England as a medic in the 104th Med Group\, Company L\, 3rd Bn\, 116th Brigade\, 29th Infantry Division. This unit was part of the initial landing on Omaha Beach on June 6\, 1944. On July 29th\, he was wounded while treating other soldiers. He was honorably discharged in October 1945.
