SUMMARY:John Bailey\, Jr.
DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nJohn Bailey\, Jr.\, Veteran\nUSA\, USAF – WWII\nMaple Valley\, Washington – 09-13-19\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nLadies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders\, we have been invited by the family of 1st Lt. John Bailey\, Jr. to stand in attendance at their loved one’s final military honors. 2nd Lt. Bailey was flying AP-6’s within the USA as a target tow operator with the Army Air Corps. Eventually John earned the rank of 1st Lt and transferred to Britain to fly C-47 transport planes. He transported mostly cargo\, but did fly 3-4 combat missions and flew paratroopers to be dropped in Europe. According to his son John\, he flew to Europe\, East Africa\, and Brazil all while stationed in the UK. 1st LT Bailey had signed on for a full 3 year term of service but the Army Air Forces released him 9 months early so that he could enroll in college to earn a degree. Eventually John moved to Washington\, went to work for Boeing and worked on designing instrument panels and cargo systems for most of their commercial planes and the B-52 and B-47. While at Boeing John was part of the Boeing Flying Club and was in a co-op that owned a Cessna. John truly loved flying and the machines that flew; he spent his entire life in thrall of them. Let’s stand and honor this true American Hero and one of the Greatest Generation.\n\n\nPRIMARY STAGING DETAILS: 09-13-19 \nStaging Time: 10:40 AM\n \nThis service follows an earlier service at the same location\, we will just segue from one spot to the next – this will be covered at the first mission briefing.\nMaple Valley\, Washington 98038\n\n\nRide Captain: \nSabrina “Mother Hen” Brown\npgrmotherhen@gmail.com\n206-369-1434\n\nSV – Ron Jellum\, ltrsz28@hotmail.com\, 206-669-8662\n\n\nSpecial Instructions: \nSPECIAL NOTE ON STAGING: There will be no set staging for this mission; it follows another service at the same location so we will just switch shelters.\nMission briefing will be covered during the break between services.\nThis is the second of three missions on this date.\nService begins at 11:00.\nPlease check the weather\, dress comfortably.\nCages always welcome!\n\n\nFlags & Water:\nFlags will be provided\nLarge Bike Flags will NOT be needed.\nWater will be provided.\n\n\n\nSubmitted By: Sabrina Brown \nPosition: Washington State Captain \n\nNote: You do not have to own/ride a motorcycle or be a veteran to join\, and membership is Free. DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nMissing in America Project – Cpl Biggs & Sgt Thompson\, Veteran\nUSA –\nMaple Valley\, Washington – 09-13-19\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nLadies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders\, we have been requested by Missing In America Project to stand a flag line for two unclaimed Buffalo Soldiers as they receive their final military honors. Corporal Antonio Biggs served 27 October 1917 to 25 July 1919 (WWI) and Sergeant Willard Thompson\, served 13 August 1942 to 18 January 1946 (WWII). It is believed that they were both in the 92nd Infantry Division\, a segregated unit that was officially designated “Buffalo Soldiers” with the appropriate shoulder patch. This mission is in conjunction with the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club national rally being held that weekend in Tacoma. They asked to make this interment a part of their rally. It will be our honor to stand for these two veterans who have lain unclaimed for so many years. Thanks to the work of Missing In America Project these two soldiers will receive their justly earned military honors.\n\n\nPRIMARY STAGING DETAILS: 09-13-19 \nStaging Time: 2:00 PM\n \nMcDonald’s\n23225 Maple Valley Black Diamond Hwy\nMaple Valley\, Washington 98038\n\n\nRide Captain: \nSabrina “Mother Hen” Brown\npgrmotherhen@gmail.com\n206-369-1434\n\nSupport Vehicle – Ron Jellum\, ltrsz28@hotmail.com\, 206-669-8662\n\n\nSpecial Instructions: \nSCHEDULE:\n1:45 – RC/SV arrive.\n2:00 – Riders arrive\, sign in.\n2:15 – Mission Briefing.\n2:30 – KSU.\n2:45 – Flag Line in place.\n3:00 – service begins.\n3:30 – or end of service\, quietly fade away & debrief.\nThis will be the third of three services at this location on this date\, always remember\, riding is not a requirement of the PGR.\nCages always welcome!\n\n\nFlags & Water:\nFlags will be provided\nLarge Bike Flags will NOT be needed.\nWater will be provided.\n\n\n\nSubmitted By: Sabrina Brown \nPosition: Washington State Captain \n\nNote: You do not have to own/ride a motorcycle or be a veteran to join\, and membership is Free.
