He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1966 to 1969. After Basic Military training requirements and follow up training as a fireman and damage control man\, David was assigned to LST-1168 USS Wexford County for duration of his military service. USS Wexford participated in many exercises during this time and arrived in Vietnam in December 1967 for amphibious and landing exercises for the US Marines Corp. At least two more trips to Vietnam in 1968 were conducted before finally returning to San Diego in 1969. David Eugene Molison was released from active duty and honorably discharged in October 1969.
