He joined the US Navy on 17 July 1973 and served until 11 July 1977\, serving duty on the USS Detroit and was an EN-3 (Engine Mechanic) at his Honorable Discharge. Following his service Mr Casteel enjoyed riding his motor cycle\, hunting\, fishing\, camping\, and spending time with his family. He was part owner of the El Covina restaurant in White Hall Arkansas. He served 25 plus years as a Volunteer Fire Fighter and EMT first responder. He started this service in White Hall and ended in Prague AR where he retired as Chief Of Center Grove Fire Dept. DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nDennis H. ‘Denny’ Svab\, Retired\, Veteran\nUSAF – Vietnam\nAbilene\, Texas – 08-01-19\n\n\n \n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nDenny was born in Cleveland\, Ohio on March 23\, 1948\, to Henry and Anna Svab. He graduated from Cleveland’s John Adams High School in 1966 and thereafter joined the United States Air Force. He served multiple tours in Vietnam during the Vietnam War\, and was stationed in California\, the Philippines and Texas. He was a decorated C-130 Hercules Flight Engineer who flew missions throughout the world. Among others\, he was assigned to the 21st tactical Airlift Squadron at Clark Air Force Base and both the 773d and 463d Tactical Airlift Squadrons at Dyess Air Force Base\, from which he retired in 1987 after serving for more than 21 years. DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nDavid Chadwick\, Veteran\nUSA – Vietnam\nWarner Robins\, Georgia – 08-01-19\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION:\n\n\nDavid Chadwick served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1971 to 1972 during the Vietnam War\, in the 11-17th C-Troop\, where he was awarded the Bronze Medal “V” device. David found his love for helicopters at the age of 19 in Vietnam\, where he could then carry over to open his own business in Aerospace. He was in the aviation industry for over 40 years with 30 of them being self-employed. He enjoyed motorcycle riding\, loved old cars and was an avid fisherman. He lived life to the fullest every day. In January of 1986 Raymond heard the calling and joined the United States Army to serve this great nation we live in and served until his honorable discharge in 2006 attaining the rank of MSGT. MSGT Knagge received several medals and awards\, some of them are as follows: Meritorious Service Medal (4)\, Army Commendation (4)\, Army Achievement Medal\, Joint Meritorious Unit Award (2)\, Meritorious Unit Commendation\, Army Good Conduct Medal (6)\, National Defense Service Medal (2)\, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (2)\, Humanitarian Service Medal (3)\, Parachutist Badge\, Legion of Merit Award\, Army Service Ribbon\, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3)\, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal\, Driver/Mechanic Badge\, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. MSGT Knagges civilian career led him to contracting with the United State Army and also working as a civilian in the United States Air Force. MSGT Knagge passed on 20 July 2019 leaving a legacy of his wife of 20 years\, five children\, mother\, family\, and many close friends.
