SUMMARY:Jereme Sawyer
DESCRIPTION:HOTH Mission\nJereme Sawyer\, Retired\nUSA \, WAARNG – WoT\nOlympia\, Washington – 07-20-19\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nLadies and Gentleman of the Patriot Guard Riders\,\nWe have been invited by Homes for our Troops to assist in honoring U.S. Army Sergeant Jereme Sawyer.\nThe Sergeant always wanted to serve in the military\, so he joined the Washington National Guard at 17 years old. After his National Guard duty\, he joined the Army as a motor transport Operator. On his second tour in Afghanistan\, he was injured by an improvised explosive device. The Sergeant’s platoon acted quickly\, providing immediate medical attention and he was medically evacuated. After time in Germany and Delaware\, he was sent to San Antonio\, Texas where he underwent many surgeries. As happens with most of our heroes\, he endured and adapted to his circumstance. The Sergeant adapted his lifestyle and continues to thrive.\nNow\, medically retired\, Sergeant Sawyer rents a home that is not accessible. Not having a home that is specially adapted to Jereme has been a challenge. Homes for our Troops is fixing that problem. The ceremony today is the Keying Ceremony where the Sergeant will get the keys to his new home. This will give Sergeant Sawyer a hand up and eliminate many of the obstacles he faces daily\, and allowing him the financial freedom to plan for his future. He hopes to attend welding school. Jereme\, we want to thank you for your service to and sacrifice for our great country. Patriots\, such as you are an inspiration to us all. Sergeant\, we applaud you. Please join us in honoring another of our Nations Heroes.\n\n\nPRIMARY STAGING DETAILS: 07-20-19 \nStaging Time: 0830 hrs \nFarm Boy Restaurant\n3840 Maytown Rd SW (West side of I5 exit 95)\nOlympia\, Washington 98512\n\n\nRide Captain: \nLyall Smith\nlyalls@aol.com\n360-791-46392nd RC–\n\n\nSpecial Instructions: \n0815 hrs: RC\, RCIT\, SV arrive\n0830 hrs: Riders arrive\, sign in\n0845 hrs: Ride Brief\n0900 hrs: Depart for Venue\n0930 hrs: Arrive Venue\n0945 hrs: Set flag line\, prepare for arrival of Sgt Sawyer\n1100 hrs: Or upon completion\, debrief and dismiss.\nThis mission may include an RHG but that will be determined at the venue by the RC.\nWeather is expected to be in the mid 70’s with clouds.\nAssisted by: Bryan Drum\, bdrum59@yahoo.com\, 309-231-0987\, SV: Veronica Port\, veronicaport@hotmail.com\, 206-497-8796\n\n\nFlags & Water:\nFlags will be provided\nLarge Bike Flags will NOT be needed.\nWater will be provided.\n\n\n\nSubmitted By: Dean Thiem \nPosition: Washington Ride Captain \n\nNote: You do not have to own/ride a motorcycle or be a veteran to join\, and membership is Free.
