He served in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1947 on the USS Salt Lake City and was part of the Bikini Atoll Atomic Bomb Testing. Sylvan was a motorcycle enthusiast\, particularly with Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Mr. Knowlton served in Vietnam and since he was injured\, he was honorably discharged as a Captain. He wanted to make the Army a career but after his second injury the FAA grounded him. Since he couldn’t fly\, he was then honorably discharged. He was asked later to come back as a flight instructor\, but declined. Dale Harris was born 3 October 1944\, and passed away 21 April 2019. Dale enlisted July 23rd 1964 into the United States Army\, where he was an 11 Bravo for Charlie Company\, 1st and 2nd Infantry Division.
