DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nFrancis Nelson St. Amour\, Jr.\, Retired\nUSN\, ARNG –\nMULTI-CITY\, Vermont – 07-16-19\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nFrancis Nelson St. Amour Jr\, 67\, passed away on Saturday\, July 13\, 2019 following a courageous battle with cancer. Following high school graduation\, he joined the U.S. Navy. He was stationed in Keflavik\, Iceland and later Jacksonville\, FL. He returned to Burlington and on September 28\, 1974\, married the love of his life. In June of 1975\, he was discharged from the Navy. Staying local\, they started a family in Williston\, VT. Frank was convinced by his late father-in-law to try the VT National Guard for a year. 21 years later\, he retired. Frank then became employed with the Burlington Police Department\, where he spent another 21 years before retiring in 2016. Frank volunteered for 13 years with the Williston Fire Department. Once retired\, Frank spent his time making wonderful memories with his wife\, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed road trips\, campfires\, and trips to the casino. He enjoyed taking rides on his Gold Wing with his wife holding on to him and riding beside his son. One special ride he had was with his son to Sturgis\, stopping in Deadwood\, Mt Rushmore\, the Corn Palace and Wal Drugs – where you can still get a cup of coffee for a dime. The Field of Dreams was the highlight of his trip. On this ride\, he was joined by his good friends. Enjoying time on his bike\, Frank joined the Vermont Red Knights Motorcycle Club. Born in El Paso Tx\, on April 18\, 1951\, he was a spry young man with a thirst for adventure. He joined the Marine Corps where he served as Senior Non-Commissioned Officer In-Charge earning the Navy Achievement for his work with the R-5 Refueler Project for Transportation Squadron 34 – his proudest moment in service. When he retired from the Marine Corps\, he transitioned to work as a mechanic and service writer for the City of El Paso\, ultimately retiring after 24 years to begin his Stained-glass hobby. DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nCharles Kenneth Emmons\, Retired\nUSMC – Korea\, Vietnam\, Lebanon/Grenada\nTyler\, Texas – 07-16-19\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nCharles Kenneth Emmons\, GySgt USMC Retired\, took his angel flight on July 11\, 2019.  Kenneth was born March 21\, 1930 on a farm near Tyler in East Texas.  Upon finishing high school in 1947 at Tyler High\, he joined the U.S. Marines.  In 1952\, he completed training and became an Aerial Transport Navigator flying on several different types of transport aircraft.  He was seeing the world — a dream for a young farm boy from East Texas.
