Daly\, age 75 years\, passed away unexpectedly on Friday June 28\, 2019. He was born on September 27\, 1943 in Milwaukee to Robert and Eleanor Daly and was raised in South Milwaukee. Tim graduated from South Milwaukee High School Class of 1962. Tim served in the US Air Force for 33 years 1967-1999 serving with the 34th Aerial Port SQ\, 440th Tactical Air Wing\, Gen. Mitchell Field. He started in Base Motor Pool\, took over Maintenance Section in 34th APS\, ran air drop recovery ops at Ft McCoy and Volk Field. Tim received many awards with additional devices. He was presented the Cpt. Lance P. Sijan Award on October 29\, 1995 at the Milwaukee Lake Front War Memorial Center. Tim flew many humanitarian missions to foreign countries\, was the Loadmaster and trainer for many cargo operations including Grenada\, Desert Storm\, and Desert Shield. He volunteered for every humanitarian mission he could as he loved flying. Tim was a Lifetime Member of AMVETS. SP4 Theroux served with C Battery 320th Artillery. He entered the Service in Fargo North Dakota. His home was in Red Lake Falls MN. At the time of this writing we are still awaiting papers from his first enlistment\, but it is noted on this page of his DD 214 that he had returned from Overseas duty (Korea). Had earned the Parachutist Badge and was honorably discharged on 9/Aug/1955 only to Re-Enlist the next day on 10/Aug/1955. From that point he continued on Active Duty until 25/Jul/1958 and then entered XIV USA Corps (Reserves). DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nMilton Arsenio Nieves\, Retired\nUSMC –\nJacksonville\, North Carolina – 07-14-19\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nBrothers and Sisters of the PGR and friends\, we have once again been called upon to stand silent and proud for one who stood for us. It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family and fellow veterans of USMC Master Sergeant Retired and Grand Master Milton Arsenio Nieves\, known to his friends and family as “Milt” or “Milty”\, passed away on July 5\, 2019. As always\, we will answer this Hero’s call with dignity and honor. He was born in Aguadilla\, Puerto Rico\, and migrated to the United States at a young age. He graduated from Bullard Havens Regional Vocational Technical School in Bridgeport\, Connecticut\, In 1977 he began his military career in the United States Marine Corps. He was quickly promoted throughout his 22 years in service and retired as a Master Sergeant in April 1999\, as the Brig Warden of Camp Lejeune. In retirement he served as Service Officer for The American Legion and the Disabled American Veteran; he was selected as American Legion Legionier of the year. Martial Arts was his lifelong passion that began in June 1965. At age 15 opened his first Martial arts school. After 53 years he holds several Black Belts in Tae-Kwon-Do\, Karate and Jiu-Jit-Su and has earned the title of Grand Master. Military Accolades include Achievement Medal with 3 stars\, National Defense Medal\, Commendation Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal\, Good Conduct Medal with 6 Stars\, and Meritorious Service Medal.Martial arts Accolades include inductions in 2001 World Karate Union Hall of Fame as Distinguished Master of the Year\, 2002 International Association of Martial Artist as Distinguished Black Belt Recognition Award and 2003 United States American Martial Arts Association As Most Distinguished Master.
