Fallen members of law enforcement will also be honored. Attendees will be invited to place American flags at the Field of Honor circle during a reading of names of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The salute will also include the names of U.S. military members lost during World War II\, Korea\, and Vietnam who were formerly listed as missing-in-action\, now identified through advancements in mitochondrial DNA research. Participants at the upcoming Field of Honor include: the Greater Tampa Bay Blue Star Mothers of America\, the Young Marines of Tampa Bay color guard\, Cub Scout Troop 610\, VFW Post 8108\, Sgt. Walter P. Ryan Detachment 1226 Marine Corps League of Riverview\, and singer Thurnell “Chip” Shields (USMC Ret.) of Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. Daly\, age 75 years\, passed away unexpectedly on Friday June 28\, 2019. He was born on September 27\, 1943 in Milwaukee to Robert and Eleanor Daly and was raised in South Milwaukee. Tim graduated from South Milwaukee High School Class of 1962. Tim served in the US Air Force for 33 years 1967-1999 serving with the 34th Aerial Port SQ\, 440th Tactical Air Wing\, Gen. Mitchell Field. He started in Base Motor Pool\, took over Maintenance Section in 34th APS\, ran air drop recovery ops at Ft McCoy and Volk Field. Tim received many awards with additional devices. He was presented the Cpt. Lance P. Sijan Award on October 29\, 1995 at the Milwaukee Lake Front War Memorial Center. Tim flew many humanitarian missions to foreign countries\, was the Loadmaster and trainer for many cargo operations including Grenada\, Desert Storm\, and Desert Shield. He volunteered for every humanitarian mission he could as he loved flying. Tim was a Lifetime Member of AMVETS. He attained the rank of Fireman Apprentice E2 and earned the National Defensed Service Medal. James served aboard the USS William M. Wood (DD715). The USS William M. Wood was a Gearing-class destroyer in the United States Navy during the final year of World War II. She was in commission for 31 years\, from 1945 through 1976\, serving in both the Pacific and Atlantic Fleets. She was the second Navy ship named for Navy Surgeon-General William M. Wood (1809–1880). During James’ service on board\, her extended deployment with the 6th Fleet ended in June 1975 when she began a long voyage home. The destroyer visited ports in France\, Germany\, Denmark\, England\, and Bermuda before arriving back in Norfolk on 23 July. After six months of normal operations out of Norfolk\, William M. Wood deployed to the Mediterranean one final time in January 1976. She returned to the United States that summer and resumed 2nd Fleet operations.
