DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nThomas James Dluhy\, Retired\nUSAF – Vietnam\nPhoenix\, Arizona – 07-09-19\n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nMaster Sergeant Thomas James Dluhy is a United States Air Force veteran. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1953 to 1973. Tom Dluhy completed technical school at Lory AFB Colorado in January 1954 as a Munitions Specialist. He then served at Bitburg AB Germany with the 1st Tactical Missile Squadron USAFE and the 36th Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Squadron USAFE. Next\, he was assigned to 7235 Ammo Supply Squadron Leghorn Italy. Several rotations to the Republic of Vietnam with 412th Munitions Maintenance Squadron was also during this time period. He finished his time in the Air Force at Holloman AFB\, Alamogordo\, New Mexico with the 49th Munitions Maintenance Squadron Tactical Air Command. McCoy has requested our presence at the funeral and interment of their beloved Hero.\nChristian enlisted in the U.S. Army as a linguist (Czech). He later graduated from the U.S. Army Ranger School\, Special Forces Qualification Course\, Special Forces Warrant Officer Basic\, Advanced and Staff Courses. He also qualified Special Forces Sniper\, HALO and Static Line Jump Master and Air Assault Course. He served as a member of U.S. Army Special Forces for over 23 years and retired in 2018 with a total of 27 years of service\, including 9 combat tours to regions such as Afghanistan\, Iraq\, Africa and the Balkans. CW4(Ret.) McCoy was awarded the Legion of Merit\, Bronze Star with Valor Device\, 2x Bronze Stars and many other medals and awards. As a civilian\, CW4(Ret.) McCoy continued to serve as a member of the Joint Expeditionary Team (JET). LCpl Luce proudly served in the USMC from 1969-1971. While stationed in Hawaii he volunteered for Viet Nam and after completing a one year tour as a Motor Vehicle Operator\, he returned to the United States and was Honorably discharged. His medals include the Viet Nam Service Medal\, Viet Nam Campaign Medal\, National Defense Service Medal\, and Expert Marksman Badge. Jeffry was 68 at the time of his passing and is survived by his wife\, 4 children\, a brother\, sister\, and many nieces and nephews. Jeffry had a passion for thoroughbred horses and biking with his family in the San Juan’s. This will be a flag line mission with a RHG from cemetery entrance area to the service location. He spent 8 years as a Strategic Bomber Pilot on B52s\, then 4 years as a B52 Bomber/Tanker Pilot and then his last 7 years as a Mobility & Logistics Planning Officer. He was most proud of the 224 B52 Missions he flew in Vietnam. During his 20 years of Service he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross\, the Air Medal w/ 10 oak leaf clusters\, the Air Force Commendation Medal w/ 2 oak leaf clusters\, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award\, the National Defense Service Award\, the Vietnam Service Medal w/ 1 bronze service star\, the Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon\, the Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon\, the Air Force Longevity Service Award w/ 3 oak leaf clusters\, the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
