DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nWilliam Hoover Jones\, POW/MIA\, KIA\nUSA – Korea\nRocky Mount\, North Carolina – 06-23-19\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nPFC William Hoover Jones has been Missing in Action since November 25\, 1950. His unit\, Easy Company\, 2nd Battalion\, 24th Infantry\, 25th Infantry Division\, 8th U.S. Army was in the area of Ryongyeon-ri for The Battle of Chongchon River\, where General Douglas MacArthur was attempting to end the war by pushing north on the last North Korean stronghold near the Yalu River. Overrun by an estimated force of 30\,000 Chinese and Korean Troops in a surprise attack\, his unit was cutoff and only a few were able to be evacuated. PFC Jones died exactly one month before his 19th birthday. His remains were recently returned to the US and quickly identified. He has been returned home to his family 69 years after being declared Missing and Killed in Action. MM2 Ashley went to be with the Lord on 9 Jan 2005 as the result of the USS San Francisco\, SSN 771\, ran aground while enroute to Australia. This dedication is scheduled for Sunday\, June 23\, 2019 at 4:00 pm.\n\n\nPRIMARY STAGING DETAILS: 06-23-19 \nStaging Time: 3:30 PM\n \nStaging will be at or near the bridge. \nMission briefing at 3:45 \nDirections: Traveling from I-77\, take Ripley Exit\, following Rt. 33 to Spencer. David Brian Pritchett to stand for their hero\, we will stand an honorable flag line prior to services outside McLane Funeral Home. Flag Line set at 12:15 PM on Sunday June 23\, 2019. PGR will escort 2nd Lt. David Brian Pritchett with LEO leading to Quitman  after funeral services for interment in Oak Hill Cemetery where Military Honors will be rendered by McLane Funeral Home Personnel at Family request.\n\n\nPRIMARY STAGING DETAILS: 06-23-19 \nStaging Time: 12:00  \nMcLane Funeral Home\n2215 N.
