He along with two fellow soldiers died of gunshot wounds while deployed to Peka Valley in Afghanistan’s Nargarhar province. Balridge\, 22\, was an infantryman from D Company\, 187th Infantry Regiment\, 3rd Brigade Combat Team\, 101st Airborne Division. Baldridge was posthumously promoted to sergeant and awarded the Bronze Star\, Purple Heart\, Combat Infantry Badge and Army Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster. Troy David Jenkins (served as a Marine prior to his Army service) was KIA on April 24\, 2003 during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Sgt. Jenkins was critically wounded when an Iraqi child approached a group of soldiers with a cluster bomb. As the bomb went off\, Jenkins threw himself over it. His memorial in Repton\, AL is in need of cleanup\, repair\, and flag replacement. We will be honored to do this work with the assistance of the Southern Pine Electric Co-op who will provide lift trucks and help to replace the flag lines. Our local PGR members and other bikers have graciously donated the money for the flags and lines\, which have already been purchased. All equipment necessary to do the job is in place. Please come and be a part of this great honor.
