DESCRIPTION:Honor Mission\nRonald C. “Butch” Fallier\, Veteran\nUSA – Korea\, Vietnam\nManitowoc\, Wisconsin – 06-04-19\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nRonald C. “Butch” Fallier\, age 69\, passed away Thursday\, May 30\, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Butch was born April 21\, 1950 in Manitowoc\, son of the late Crawford and Elaine (Olp) Fallier. Butch attended Lincoln High School and enlisted in the United States Army on June 6\, 1967. On December 19\, 1970 he married the former Jane Neumeyer at First German Lutheran Church\, Manitowoc. During his military career he was stationed in many different places including Germany\, Korea\, and Vietnam. At one time\, he was also a recruiter in Manitowoc and retired from the military on June 30\, 1987. Butch was a member of numerous organizations including the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 731\, American Legion – Drews Bleser Post #88\, Amvets Post 99\, Manitowoc HOG Chapter\, and the Maribel Sportsman’s Club. Butch also rode with us on at least one mission. At eighteen years of age just out of high school Donald felt the calling and enlisted in the United States Army. Donald Russell Sr. served honorably from 1958 through 1978 for this great country we live in attaining the rank of MSGT. Some of the medals MSGT acquired for meritorious service were as follows: Good Conduct w/Silver Clasp\, Vietnam Campaign w/60 device\, Army Accommodation Medal w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters. In MSGT Russell Sr. civilian career he owned and operated an asphalt company moving it to Tucson\, Arizona to better supply the needs needed in our community and worked it until his retirement in 2007. MSGT Russell Sr. passed on 17 May 2019. He entered into the military in the U.S. Army Air Corps on October 5\, 1942 and served during World War II until his honorable discharge on September 20\, 1945. He received the E.A.M.E. Campaign Medal with two Bronze Stars\, the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters\, Good Conduct Medal and other awards and citations including the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while serving as flight engineer/waist gunner of a B-24 Liberator Bomber. He was involved in battles in Normandy and other Air offensives in Europe. Thomas Patrick (Pat) Hays\, Jr. was born on March 18\, 1964. He passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy\, 2-year battle with cancer on June 1\, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents\, Thomas Patrick Hays\, Sr. and Rosina Lisotta Hays; and two brothers\, Frank Hays and Phil Hays. He is survived by two sisters\, an aunt\, sister-in-law\, nieces and nephews\, great nephews\, and one great niece\, the apple of his eye. Pat loved to travel. In his career as a refractory specialist\, he worked in 42 states. Pat was a graduate of University of Florida Construction Safety\, OSHA Industry. Pat served in the United States Army for 6 yrs with the 528 Engineering Battalion. He was a fourth degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus\, a member of the ACTS community\, and an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing\, hunting and enjoying nature in general. He especially enjoyed teaching his nephews how to fish and hunt.
