When the need to serve came\, Cread entered into the United States Army being assigned to the 60th Cost Artillary Regiment. On 27 September 1942 SGT Cread E. Shuey was declared Missing In Action and Killed In Action.  After almost 77 years\, SGT Shueys remains were discovered near Cabantuan POW Camp\, Nueva\, Ecija\, Republic of Philippines.\nSGT Cread E. Shuey is finally going to be laid to rest on American soil with three family members attending.  It will be an honor to give this soldier his honor and respect.\nThis mission is a two part\, two day mission as follows:  Tuesday 28 May 2019: Tucson Police Department will be escorting the dignified transfer of SGT Shuey from Tucson International Airport-plane side.  We have been asked to stand a flag line at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn.  We have been asked to set our staging at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn at 10:45 am with our flag line in place at 11:15 am Thursday 30 May 2019: Tucson Police Department will escort from Funeria del Angel South Lawn to Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery. He proudly served his country in the US Army from June 1942 to July 1946 during WWII.The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand a flag line to celebrate his departure to Normandy for the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. We gratefully\, respectfully\, and with much honor accept this mission. George Cross served in WWII as an Army Paratrooper. He jumped behind enemy lines on June 6\, 1944\, D-Day. Fortunately\, he survived the war without serious injury. George was released from active duty and honorably discharged in July 1946.While in the service of his country George Cross earned the Army Good Conduct Medal\, American Campaign WWII\, European Theatre WWII\, Victory Medal WWII\, Army Presidential Unit Citation\, Army Meritorious Unit Citation\, Senior Parachutist Badge\, Air Assault Badge.After his Army discharge\, he went to work in Montana as a Smoke Jumper. He proudly served this Nation for decades and was within 10 days of retirement with 33 years Federal service.
