He completed his active duty requirement effective July 1961\, and completed his reserve obligation in November 1966. He served aboard the USS Rochester\, a heavy destroyer in the Pacific. He was honorably discharged after completing his obligations and earned the rank of LtJG.\n\n[/FONT][FONT=&]Mr. Brown was a Registered Geologist and Certified Engineering Geologist with the State of California for almost 50 years. He worked overseas in Greece and the Philippines.\n[/FONT]\n[FONT=&]Dick loved the military and was passionate in his support of veterans and the Long Beach Veterans Medical Center. \n[FONT=&]Dick Brown is survived by wife Margaret “Genny”\, two brothers\, two daughters\, a son\, and three grandchildren.\n\n[FONT=&]NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
