SUMMARY:Edward Francis Napoli\, USN
DESCRIPTION:Edward Francis “Poppy” Napoli\nUS Navy Vietnam Veteran\nJasper\, GA\n6 AUG 16\n\n\n\nIt is with heavy heart that I must announce we have lost a dear friend and brother of all patriots. Last night Ed “Poppy” Napoli passed peacefully in his sleep after losing a two year battle with cancer. We have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Poppy by his family and I have told his family it will be our honor to be present. \nLike many of our Vietnam Veterans\, Poppy didn’t share much about his service in the Navy or experiences during the Vietnam war but it was very clear to all of us that knew him that he was a dedicated patriot as well as a Team Mentor with the Patriot Guard Riders of Georgia. Prior to having poor health\, no mission was too far or too hot or cold for Poppy not to be present to honor other veterans. Poppy had a big heart and showed true dedication to the mission of the Patriot Guard Riders that set an example to all of us. As Bees said\, “He is old school PGR”. \nRoper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper\, Georgia will be handling the final arrangements with visitation and service on Saturday\, August 6 with visitation beginning at 10:00 am until service begins at 2:00 pm. We will do a rotating of members as we stand a flag line during the visitation portion. This will be a flag line mission only. \nStaging:\n9:30 am Saturday\, August 6\nRoper Funeral Home & Crematory\n206 Holly Street\nJasper\, GA 30143 \nRCIC:\nDavid “hound” Blanton\njcghound@hotmail.com \nFlag Support:\nRon “Pappy” Papaleoni\nronpappy43@gmail.com

SUMMARY:Edward Francis "Poppy" Napoli - USN\, Vietnam Veteran - PGR
DESCRIPTION:Edward Francis “Poppy” Napoli – USN\, Vietnam Veteran – Jasper\, GA 6 AUG 16 \nIt is with heavy heart that I must announce we have lost a dear friend and brother of all patriots. SUMMARY:HOTH
DESCRIPTION:Hampton VA Medical Center Escort to Hampton Cup Regatta\nHampton\, Virginia\n6 Aug 16\n\n\nThe Patriot Guard Riders have been graciously invited by Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the BPOE Lodge 366 to assist in the safe and secure transit and care of numerous patients of the VA hospital\, from the VA facility to an outdoor event in Hampton on Saturday 6 August 2016. All contacts have been made and this is a go.\n\nThese are all Veterans who are currently residents of the medical facility\, some of whom get very limited time outdoors and specifically at any type of public recreational event. Our role will be that of non-medical assistants to the medical staff during their time at the event\, in addition to providing an escort from the hospital to the VIP section of the event. The escort will involve several buses in addition to other vehicles making a short transit.\n\nThere will be medical personnel assigned to each patient requiring high levels of support while we will take on the role of supporters for those patients who are ambulatory. We will be there as a support group only. While Iron Horses are preferred\, there will be dedicated parking for us as a group with some space provided both for bikes and cages.\n\nIt has already been stated that this will have a huge positive impact on our Brothers and Sisters currently inpatient at this facility. Please take some time out your schedules to help make this a great day! \nStage: NLT 1000 at Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center 100 Emancipation Drive\, Hampton\, VA 23667\, in the General-Visitor & Patient Parking lot at the corner of MLK Jr. Blvd. and Franklin Blvd.\n\nRide brief at 1005.
