Every effort possible is made in planning and executing the PGR Mission statement in a manner that minimizes the inherit dangers of riding a motorcycle\, including riding in groups of all sizes and any situation. While the NCPG\, and it’s riders have a remarkable safety record in the execution of our missions\, infrequently members have been injured in unforeseen accidents. In an effort to mitigate the risk of preventable accidents\, all attendees who wish to ride in a Patriot Guard motorcycle escort or ride are asked to attend the pre-mission briefing. It will include a safety briefing\, and any unique ride information known to our RCIC that may be specific to the mission. Member safety and well-being is always a principal ongoing concern\, our RCIC’s are asked to stand-down from any mission that cannot be accomplished in relative safety or unreasonable risk. This includes both rides and flag lines in inclement weather and conditions. It remains each individual PGR member’s responsibility to ride within their own comfort zone and be cognizant of their surroundings and skill limitations as well as any physical needs or limitations. If the ride and/or mission conditions present challenges beyond your skill\, comfort\, or needs you are expected to exercise good judgment in foregoing any planned participation.

DESCRIPTION:July 27\, 2016 \nThe next Central Missouri Honor Flight escort #41 is coming up shortly\, so please come out and help honor these WWII\, Korean\, and Vietnam Vets as they return home from their flight \nStaging: July 27\, 2016 at 8 pm (2000 hrs) @ Firefighters Memorial Kingdom City Junction of Hwy 54 and I-70 next to the BP station. This is a Wednesday night ride. We will then proceed to the on ramp and as the buses go by\, we will pass them\, and lead them back to the hotel. There will be Police escort to the hotel and this is a night ride at Highway speed the estimated time of arrival to Kingdom City is 10:30 pm. \n\nFor those volunteers\, guardians\, Honor Flight Riders and others supporting The Honor Flight\, we respectfully request that you make hotel reservations at the nearby Holiday Inn Express or other local hotels. Courtyard Marriott is only able to offer a limited number of discounted rooms for our traveling veterans. Recently\, we have learned that a number of you have been reserving rooms from this room block\, innocently\, not knowing that there are only 10-15 of those discounted rooms available for most flights. Veterans designated for this flight will not be told of our recommendation until their pre-flight briefing on July 17\, and that those veterans driving some distance should stay at the hotel prior to and after the flight The result is that discounted room availability\, intended for veterans\, is no longer available by then. We appreciate your understanding. \nRide Captain: Reed Hickam 573-489-2158

SUMMARY:Fourty Eight (48) American Heroes / MA National Veterans’ Cemetery
DESCRIPTION:The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked once again to stand as family and honor our “forgotten veterans” from times and wars past. \nThis is the seventh time we have been so requested; I am sure that I reflect the sentiments of those who have previously attended when I say that being present for these veterans was and is a particularly poignant\, moving and fulfilling experience. We were these veterans’ family and in fact the only family present for the ceremony. \nOur presence at this “No Veteran Forgotten Ceremony” epitomizes the Patriot Guard Riders mission and motto in its purest of form: “Standing for those who stood for us.” \nThe following is a list of the 48 forgotten veterans whom we will be honoring: \nALVES\, LOUIS JR.
