Shortly after graduating from high school\, Don enlisted in the Navy in June\, 1975 and proudly served as an Electronic Technician until his honorable discharge\, April 1984\, as a Petty Officer First Class (E6). \nDon was employed as a Senior Infrastructure Analyst at Toyota Motor Sales\, USA\, Inc for almost 20 years and volunteered for many Toyota sponsored community events and was a proud member of Toyota Veterans Association. \nDon’s colleagues knew Don had arrived at work when he rode up on his Harley. \nDon was preceded in death by a sister. Mr. Garmon proudly served as a Finance Clerk in Company K 290th Infantry\, 75th Division during WWII. Mr. Garmon was stationed in Rhineland and Central Europe.  During his service Mr. Garmon earned the National Defense Service Medal\, the American Theater  Service Medal\, the European Theater Service Medal with (2) Bronze Service Stars\, the Good Conduct Medal\, and the World War II Victory Medal. DESCRIPTION:Dirck TenBrock Hartmann Sr. age 94\, USAAC\, WWII\, Purple Heart Recipient\, Huntington Beach\, 05 JUL\, 2016 \nThe family of Dirck Hartmann Sr. has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their hero for his service and sacrifice to his country. We are honored to do so. \nDirck honorably served in the United States Army Air Corp from 1941 to 1944. He was a P38 pilot in the 80th fighter squadron in the South Pacific Theatre.  He saw much action\, was credited with three confirmed kills\, and barely survived when his P38 crashed due to engine failure during takeoff while the airfield was under attack. Dirck was awarded the Purple Heart for his injuries.  His rank at discharge was 1st Lieutenant. \nFollowing his distinguished military service Dirck graduated from Cal Tech  and became an Aerospace Engineer\, working on the Apollo programs that put a man  on the moon. His work in these programs included work with distinguished  scientist Werner Von Braun. During his work in the space programs Dirck was  issued some twenty patents. He was a devoted family man\, loved swimming\, hiking\,  sailing and other such activities. He also loved motorcycles and rode for many  years. Dirck was a true patriot who dearly loved his country.\n\nDirck was preceded in death by his wife Anna in 2013. DESCRIPTION:William Charles “Bill” Alexander\, 95\nUS Navy WWII Veteran\nPearl\, Mississippi\nTuesday 5 July 2016\n\n\n\nThe family of US Navy WWII Pilot William Charles “Bill” Alexander has requested the PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS help honor and pay tribute to him for his dedicated service to our country. \nBill served in the US Navy as a pilot\, flying reconnaissance missions for the naval patrol frigate\, USS Annapolis. After his honorable discharge from the Navy\, he retired after a 30 year career as an aeronautical engineer with the Goodyear Aerospace Corporation. Dyer has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present at his final formation. \nTSgt Dyer was a member of the United States Air Force (USAF) from 1952 until his retirement in 1972 when he was Honorably Discharged. TSgt. Dyer\, served at Myrtle Beach AFB\, spent a tour in Korea during the Korean War\, then went to Charleston AFB\, on to Shaw AFB\, then Hickam AFB\, then to Mather AFB.  He then deployed to Taiwan where he flew missions in and out of Vietnam\, and then retired from Holloman AFB.  He is survived by his son\, Wayne Dyer\, three grandchildren\, three great-grandchildren\, a brother\, a sister-in-law\, and several nieces and nephews. She continued her work with Veterans\, as a Volunteer Veteran Service Officer and serving over 100\,000 veterans\, until her final retirement in May 2016. Willie was well known and loved in the community. She unselfishly gave of herself\, her time\, and expertise to assist Veterans and family members with their VA benefits.
