Michael earned many award and honors to include two Bronze Star Medals and three Meritorious Service Medals. He enjoyed coaching youth sports and was an integral part of the Killeen-Cove Chiefs Football team. He was active in the ALR Post 53 Buckeye\, AZ\, The Indian Riders Motorcycle Group\, and was at every Charity ride or event held in the Greater Phoenix area for years. He was a friend and mentor to countless people for years.  Gene was also a DOC Captain retired from the DOC Perryville and Lewis units. He was known by many names\, Gene\, GOBB\, ADCOP\, DADDY\,CAPTAIN\,BROTHER\, to name a few. He was loved and admired and respected by all who met him. He is survived by his loving Daughter with countless “brothers and sisters”. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 29 June 1957 to 28 June 1960 earning the rank of Corporal and a Good Conduct Medal. \nHuey retired as a heavy equipment operator in 1996 and was a member of the Operating Engineers Union for 50 years. DESCRIPTION:The family of Alfred A. Michalik Jr.\, 72 have requested the Patriot Guard Riders it stand in silent honor of his service to his country. Al passed away June 26\, 2016 at the VA hospital in Iron Mountain following a lengthy illness. He sailed the Great Lakes as a Merchant Marine Seaman from 1962-1965\, working aboard the Marcus Roen and the Edmund Fitzgerald.  In 1966 he was drafted in to the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in Vietnam from 1966-1968. Al obtained the rank of Corporal and earned the Meritorious Mast and letters of appreciation from the Army and Marine Corps for teaching school to Army and Marine artillery personnel. He also received  Presidential  Unit Citation\, National Defense Service Medal\, Vietnam  Service Medal with one star\, and the Vietnam Campaign with device. On May 25\, 2016 Al was the first Vietnam Veteran to go on the U.P. Honor Flight to Washington D.C. DESCRIPTION:Patriot Guard Riders:\n\n We have been requested to participate in the tribute to one of our fallen former service members\, at 1000 MDT. on Friday\, July 1st\, 2016\, in Ontario\, OR. Senior Airman (E-4) Andrew David Willard\, age 37\, was an active duty member of the US Air Force from April\, 1998 until October\, 2002.  During his service\, he was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal\, the Air Force Commendation Medal\, National Defense Service Medal and an Honorable Discharge.  He spent much of his service as a security police at Mountain Home Air Force Base\, in Idaho.  His wife and family have requested our presence.  We will ride to Ontario\, Oregon and join the Oregon PGR at the Church\, located 366 S.E. 5th St.\, Ontario\, OR. \nStage/Briefing;  Friday 1 July\, 2016 0800\, Flying “J” exit-29 I-84 Caldwell Idaho. KSU 0815.  Ride as group to Ontario and meet RC Lonnie Myers at the Church.  We will be under the direction of Lonnie.
